Semiconductor ZnSe and GaSe crystals for frequencies generation in terahertz range. THz radiation generation in semiconductor crystals is based on optical rectification of broadband femtosecond pulses. Terahertz GaSe and ZnTe crystals feature high damage threshold and generate extremely short and high quality THz pulses.
